Library Facilities
Apart from the Collections, the Library has a range of facilities and services available.
Study Areas
Upstairs amongst the main collection the Library provides some 40 quiet work areas for individuals to study. Some of these workstations have internet connected computers.
Downstairs in the circulation area and serials room there are 5 more work areas, each with a computer. These areas are noisy, and so are better for catalogue searching and database access or collaborative work.
Computing
The Library provides computers for searching the Library's resources, printing and general applications such as word processing. Computers are intended for for use by Moore College students only.
Each computer provides-
- Internet access
- OpenOffice.org for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
- ESword, the free bible study program
- Firefox for web browsing
- Printing to the Library printers
- PrimoPDF to print to pdf files
- Adobe Reader for viewing pdf files
- Greek and Hebrew fonts
- QuickMail to easily email files to yourself
- Front mounted USB Ports for USB Flash Drives
In addition, some computers have the following special features
- BibleWorks 7 (5 in the serials room)
- Microsoft Office (2 in the serials room)
- Endnote
- Scan & Capture from the Serial Room Microfiche/film Reader
- Logos Library Gold Scholars Edition
- Thesaurus Linguae Graecae Online (TLG)
Photocopying, Printing & Scanning
The Library provides photocopying, printing and scanning services. All these services are subject to copyright laws. Services available include-
- Black and White printing and photocopying
- Colour printing and photocopying
- Printing and copying to transparency (Transparencies must be purchased from the desk)
- Scan to email
- Scan to Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
The cost of these services is debited from the value stored on a member's Library card. This value may be topped up in the Library.

Library Annexe
The Nathaniel Jones Room is set aside as a reading room of the Library available by student key access 24 hours per day. It is supplied with desks and computer terminals giving access to the Library catalogue, electronic resources, email and the Internet.
